In addition, the company offers plasticizer for food product packaging and toys films, floor materials, shoes, hoses, inks, rubber gloves, and food containers; methyl ester use in industrial detergents, shell mold applications, fine chemical intermediates, and base materials; and dyes for fiber, paper, leather, and plastic, as well as the functional pigments used in polarizing films, stationery etc. Further, it develops and produces bisphenol derivatives; TBIS, an epoxy derivative; TBIS, an acid dianhydride; episulfide derivatives; and indole derivatives for various compounds for medical and agricultural chemical applications. The company was formerly known as Taoka Dystuffs Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Taoka Chemical Company, Limited in 1972.
